منذ انطلاقه في 2014، سعى حفل توزيع الجوائز The Game Awards لتثبيت نفسه كموطن لتكريم أفضل وأكبر الإنجازات في عالم ألعاب الفيديو، وتم الإعلان اليوم عن قائمة الألعاب المرشحة الكاملة لحفل هذا العام.
حيث أعلن مبتكر ومنتج الحفل Geoff Keighley عبر بث مباشر عن قائمة الألعاب المرشحة الكاملة لحفل توزيع جوائز The Game Awards 2016 قبل انطلاق فعالياته في الأول من ديسمبر الحالي من مسرح Microsoft Theater في لوس أنجلوس، ويمكن متابعة البث المباشر للحفل عبر IGN و Twitch و YouTube و Twitter و Facebook Live و GameSpot و PSN و Xbox Live و Steam، كما سيتم بث الحدث للمرة الأولى بالواقع الافتراضي لمن يمتلك نظارات VR.
وأكثر الألعاب هيمنة على حفل هذا العام هي Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End مع 8 ترشيحات، في حين تليها ألعاب قريبة مثل Overwatch مع 6 ترشيحات و DOOM مع 5 ترشيحات وغيرها الكثير من أكبر ألعاب هذا العام.
